Library Named a Dementia Friend

A photo of one person clasping another person's hand across a table, plus the Dementia Friends USA logo at the bottomDementia Friends USA is spearheading a national movement to train people on how to better understand what it’s like to have dementia, and how to help and include those who do. After going through organization-wide staff Dementia Friend training sessions, the Daniel Boone Regional Library was designated as a Dementia Friendly organization. Now our staff are better able to help our patrons affected by this health issue.

If you are interested in being a Dementia Friend, you may view a series of training videos online hosted by Dementia Friends USA. Anyone of any age can become a Dementia Friend.
