The construction around the south entrance to the Columbia Public Library has progressed and the stairway is now open again. As are the 10-minute parking spaces just west of the stairs.
The next stage of the project is reconstruction of the handicapped-accessible spaces next to the ramp. Demolition has begun on half of the spaces. The other three spaces will remain open until the first three are rebuilt.
We also have several handicapped-accessible spaces in our north parking lot across Broadway from the library.
