The re-carpeting project will begin at the Callaway County Public Library on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. During the first phase, the second floor will be closed, but the first floor will remain open. You may continue to pick up holds and use curbside pickup, but you will not have access to the public computers, passport services or any of the library collections on the second floor during this time.
The library will be completely closed beginning Tuesday, December 13 and will remain closed while the first floor is re-carpeted. During this time, if you have materials you want to return, please hold on to them until we reopen. Our system now automatically renews most items on your behalf. If an item cannot be automatically renewed, we will extend the check-out period for that item. You may also return materials to one of our other libraries in Ashland, Columbia or Holts Summit, or to one of the community book drops in Columbia. If you have an item on hold that becomes available during the closure, we are extending your pick-up timeframe.
During the closure, we encourage you to use the library website to borrow audiobooks, eBooks, films, music and more.
